Streetlight UK is a frontline specialist support service, specifically focused on providing women with tangible and material pathways out of lifestyle of prostitution and violence and have developed its specialism and understanding of women involved in prostitution across London, Surrey and Sussex since 2012.

   HEAD OF TRAINING

ROLE: Head of Training

LOCATION: London

HOURS: 21 hours per week

SALARY: £27,300 – £29,484 (Full time equivalent)

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

This is an opportunity to join us at an exciting time, as a Trainer you will play a pivotal role to deliver and assess StreetlightUK courses to the required standard and content. Our deterring re-offending “YOU CHOOSE”, Wellbeing and Professional Development Courses, receive incredible results and satisfaction ratings and are delivered by passionate, well-trained, adaptable trainers, supported by expert advice and guidance.

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

  • Lead on the development and delivery of StreetlightUK deterring re-offending and wellbeing courses, as well as our bespoke training for other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to deliver courses of similar topics at different levels that are aligned with one another to provide a joined up approach to training courses.
  • Network with external partners and sector specific groups to share knowledge, represent StreetlightUK’s interests and build own knowledge and CPD.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure all training administration is completed accurately and in good time for all courses.
  • Lead the team in development of resources and guidance for providers and staff where directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Work with staff, casual workers and volunteers to maintain good relationships and high standards of training and assessing
  • Create content for StreetlightUK training for professionals externally and for staff induction and ongoing personal and team development.
  • Pilot new initiatives in training when required
  • Accurate completion and prompt submission of all relevant course documentation
  • Support with the capturing of evaluation to show impact and effectiveness of courses
  • Flexible and able to cover education and meetings where required.

WOMEN’S SUPPORT WORKER LONDON

ROLE: Women’s Support Worker

LOCATION: London (London Bridge Office)

HOURS: 21 hours per week

SALARY: £14,414 – £16,380 (Full time equivalent)

 JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Streetlight UK is a growing charity, delivering a specialist support service for women involved in prostitution across London, Sussex & Surrey. We are a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated team of women who are determined to see sexual exploitation and violence end for women.
We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and dedication to support our service users. Taking a women-centred approach, your role would include providing care co-ordination and daytime support for women with complex needs who need support, or desire to exit prostitution.
Having experience of working with vulnerable adults is desirable, as well as having a highly developed sense of self-awareness and the ability to work in a gender and trauma informed way. You should also be proactive and organised in ensuring required admin is complete. This is a part-time role based at the Streetlight UK London office – and includes 2hrs late night outreach and service user support.

 

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

  • Supporting the StreetlightUK on street night time outreach programme to ensure smooth delivery of the service and continuity between the outreach and daytime support service.
  • Care co-ordination of women with complex needs who want support, or to exit street-based or off-street prostitution, pan London.
  • Advocacy and referral to Multi-Agency Meetings, including the Pan London SWAG Forum, Enfield VAWAG, Domestic Violence Multi-Agency Partnerships, along with other support services across London.
  • Effectively monitoring client work, preparing reports and ensuring funders’ targets are met.
  • Delivering day-time support and follow up to service users and managing a personal case-load of service users.
  • Representing the organization at specified events and networks locally.
  • Participation in Streetlight UK annual fundraising and awareness campaign.
  • Contributing to the overall client support strategy of Streetlight UK in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Manager.
  • Preparing research and reports for partners, funders and other stakeholders in conjunction with the CEO & Operations Manager.

WOMEN’S SUPPORT WORKER SUSSEX

ROLE: Sussex Women’s Support Worker

LOCATION: Based in our Gatwick offices

HOURS: 21 hours per week

SALARY: £20,020 – £22,750 (Full time equivalent)

 JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Streetlight UK is a growing charity, delivering a specialist support service for women in prostitution in London and the South East. Taking a woman-centered approach, your role is to provide care co-ordination for women with complex needs who want support, or to exit prostitution. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who has a highly developed sense of self-awareness, who can work in a gender and trauma informed way. This is a part-time contact based at the Streetlight UK Sussex Office.

 

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

  • Care co-ordination of women with complex needs who want support, or to exit street-based prostitution.
  • Advocacy and referral to Multi-Agency Meetings, including the Crawley VAWAG Forum, Domestic Violence Multi-Agency Partnerships, along with other support services in North Sussex.
  • Effectively monitoring client work, preparing reports and ensuring funders’ targets are met.
  • Being on the rota for the outreach shifts and police operations, to ensure smooth delivery of the service and continuity between the outreach and daytime support service.
  • Representing the organisation at specified events and networks locally.
  • Participation in Streetlight UK annual fundraising and awareness campaign.
  • Contributing to the overall client support strategy of Streetlight UK in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Manager.
  • Preparing research and reports for partners, funders and other stakeholders as directed by and in
    conjunction with the Operations Manager and CEO.
